Get ready! We have a fascinating journey through Georgia ahead! But it’s rather unusual - we will follow Elliott, who decided to work out his route on a scooter!

Why on a scooter? – It's about implementing his friend Tim's idea. It’s no secret how overloaded Tbilisi is with heavy goods vehicles, especially the Old Town with its narrow streets. They want to demonstrate hoe easy it is to get around with a lighter and more maneuverable method of transportation.

To attract attention to the project, Tim and Elliott started a new Instagram account @modimoto, where they upload photos of local residents on the scooter. In addition, Elliott decided to take a long trip across the regions, specifically on the ModiMoto.

Elliott is from the USA. He studied diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston, where, by the way, former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili happened to be working as a Senior Statesman in Residence. Elliott planed to study Russian in Moscow (at MSU) this year, but for external reasons that plan did not work. Instead Elliott decided to spend some time in Georgia, about which he had heard many interesting things. Here he found wonderful Russian language teachers, learned how to write in Georgian and made new friends.

"I've visited a few places in Georgia, but there are still many of them, which I just have to see before I leave! I am going to Svaneti, then to Batumi, and back to Tbilisi, and en route, I will be stopping at as many interesting places as possible".

Elliott will be uploading photos and notes on his travels in a special blog on waystogeorgia.com. Subscribe to updates and stay tuned!
